SUMMARY

EMKAY, Inc. is in need of a full-time employee within our Vehicle Licensing Services Department. As a Vehicle Renewal Specialist, you will manage the registration renewal process on behalf of our clients. Our Renewal Specialists “own the process from start to finish,” performing the necessary follow-up and call backs with customers, vendors, and EMKAY employees to ensure completion in timely manner. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires teamwork and the ability to be a self-starter.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Subject to change based on department and corporate needs.

Communicate with state registration & titling offices in order to process vehicle renewals on behalf of our customers
Work internally with other EMKAY operating departments to ensure renewals are processed in a timely manner
Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external contacts
Perform timely filing of documents and payments required to renew vehicle registrations
Ability to “own the process” and manage your assigned tasks accordingly

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for assisting in the departmental customer service effort by conveying a pleasant and articulate manner when answering and making telephone calls to both internal and external contacts
This position requires a team player that can interact, research, and respond to requests for information and services from personnel in other EMKAY departments in the same timely and accurate manner as that given to outside customers
The employee must be a self-starter, a problem solver, and possess the multitasking abilities required for working in a fast-paced environment
Operate general office equipment such as computers, scanners, calculators, fax and photocopy machines
Open and route incoming mail while also preparing materials for outgoing mail
Cross-train in order to learn how to perform duties in a backup role for other Vehicle -Licensing Services personnel and in turn will cross-train other employees as a backup for own job duties
Perform special projects and duties as assigned by department supervisor
Ability to remain flexible and adaptive to changes within the department and organization

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the aforementioned duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

The ideal candidate will be extremely detail oriented, well organized, and able to learn how to prioritize work duties. They will also be very reliable and a self-starter who can work with minimal direction. This position requires processing large quantities of work in an error free environment. Computer training or experience with a P/C is required. Must know, or be willing to learn, how to work with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and word processing. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent work experience is required
Associates Degree and 1-3 years of experience within an office environment is preferred
Excellent organizational and customer service skills
Experience with Microsoft Office, especially with Excel and Word
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Prior automotive, fleet leasing, office, and customer service experience is a plus.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

No special certifications required.

HOURS AND WORK SCHEDULE

This position is defined at forty hours per week, qualifying the employee for the standard benefit package made available to all full-time employees. The work schedule would be Monday through Friday at one of the following schedules: 7:15am to 4:00pm; 8:15am to 5:00pm; or 9:15am to 6:00pm, with a predetermined 45 minute lunch period. The work schedule may be subject to revision depending upon Departmental needs. The position requires an exemplary record of attendance and punctuality on the part of the employee.
