2023 Volkswagen ID.4 Starts Production in the U.S.

Volkswagen ID.4 Models have begun rolling off the assembly line in Chattanooga, TN and will reach dealerships starting in October. This electric SUV first went on sale here for the 2021 model year but has been imported from Germany since its launch. VW would like to ramp up production in the U.S. to 7,000 cars per month by the end of the year.

The U.S. Built 2023 ID.4 will have a few changes compared to the Europe built ID.4, with a revised center console, and comes with a 77.0 kWh battery. They are estimating the entry level pricing to be around $35,000 but more pricing information will be released next week.
