Chevy Silverado EV to Have Rear-Axle Steering

General Motors claims that the electric Chevy truck will offer up to 400 miles of range, and now it’ll also have available rear-axle steering, like its GMC Hummer EV stablemate.

Rear-axle steering tightens the vehicle’s turning radius by slightly turning the rear wheels in the opposite direction of the fronts. It appears the Silverado EV’s system won’t be as advanced as the GMC Hummer EV’s Crab Walk mode, which can use its rear-axle steering system to turn all four wheels at the same angle, moving the truck diagonally.
