Truck Ordering and Design Specialist

SUMMARY

EMKAY Truck Ordering and Design Specialists are integral in ensuring the accurate and timely ordering of trucks and vans. These individuals initiate, track, purchase, and coordinate delivery of both out of stock trucks and factory ordered trucks that require upfits. Having knowledge and understanding of truck specifications and the available upfits is vital to this role. The essential functions of this position are outlined in the following section.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

-Assist with ordering and specification questions from clients, drivers, sales, and CSS teams
-Initiate and follow up on all up-fit purchase orders with vendors
-Spec out and provide price quotes for completed truck vehicles for clients
-Produce up-fit P.O.’s and process body company invoices
-Assist with ordering, correcting, and editing of all truck orders
-Locate trucks for dealer-stock purchases
-Maintain strong relationships with contacts at body company vendors/upfitters
-Locate Bailment pool units as alternatives to stock purchases
-Assist CSS with spec’ing light & medium duty vehicles
-Alternate contact for all North America calls from CSS, Clients & Vendors
-Process UCC filings for leased equipment and prepare quarterly UCC filing reports

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Responsible for assisting in the departmental customer service effort by conveying a  pleasant and articulate manner when answering and making telephone calls to both  internal  and external contacts

-This position requires a team player that can interact, research, and respond to requests  for information and services from personnel in other EMKAY departments in the same  timely and accurate manner as that given to outside customers

-The employee must be a self-starter, a problem solver, and possess the multitasking  abilities required for working in a fast-paced environment

-Operates general office equipment such as computers, scanners, calculators, fax and  photocopy machines

-Opens and routes incoming mail, answers correspondences, and prepares forms and  material for outgoing mail

-Cross-trains in order to learn how to perform duties in a backup role for other Vehicle  Licensing Services personnel and in turn will cross-train other employees as a backup for  own job duties

-Ability to ensure all correspondences are EMKAY compliant as outlined in our Marketing  Guideline and posted on the intranet

-Performs special projects and duties as assigned by department supervisor

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

-Minimum of four year degree graduate or equivalent work experience
-Prior automotive, fleet leasing, office and customer service experience is a plus
-Word processing training or experience and spreadsheet training or experience helpful
