Summary:
The Application Developer role is to participate in the development of organization’s web applications. This includes designing, building, and implementing new features and tools of the organization’s various web applications; integrating sites with back end applications; migrating legacy applications to the Web; and performing day-to-day administration of the organization’s Web portfolio.
Essential job functions:
Develop, code, install, test, debug, and document Web applications.
Design, develop, and update databases as they relate to Web applications.
Design, develop, and update web services as they relate to Web applications.
Ensure security of all Web sites and related applications.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing Web applications and sites.
Identify, recommend, and prioritize new Web features and applications in conjunction with business leaders and department managers.
Provide support to internal and external users of the organization’s web applications.
Education/Experience:
College diploma or 4 year degree in the field of computer science and/or 5 years equivalent work experience.
In-depth knowledge of Web technologies, protocols, and tools including (but not limited to) JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, Vue.js, Spring, JSON, XML, SQL, MongoDB.
Thorough understanding of application development methodologies.
