Additional 96,700 Vehicles Taken Out of Production

The microchip shortage has taken another 96,700 vehicles out of production around the industry. AutoForecast Solutions now forecasts that the industry will lose a worldwide total of approximately 4.2 million vehicles from 2022 production because of the microchip problem by the end of the year.

• Middle East/Africa YTD – 41,400 (2022 Projected – 53,600)
• Total YTD – 3,376,800 (2022 Projected – 4,214,500)
